Another Internet Marketing Experience

Well, still looking for the way to Internet riches. Really believed that My Power Mall was a lock. This is not a knock to My Power Mall, only my experience with it. If anyone reads this post and would like to comment, I would appreciate hearing how I could have done better without a big promotion budget.

Have been promoting it as my number 1 product for 3 months. To this point I have tried several promotional techniques... traffic exchanges, solo ads, networking sites, etc. Have had many impressions for text ads and banners, but no sign ups.

The concept is simple and that appealed to me. Sign up for free and never have to pay to continue or upgrade. One requirement was that you get your own free mall and purchase something once a month. Not hard. There was a wide variety of stores to buy from. I was partial to computer products, especially printer cartridges. There is not a stated minimum purchase.

Earn money by getting rebates on everything you purchase. Also, earn money by giving away free malls and getting a small piece of your down line's purchase. Bottom line, no one wanted a free Internet mall.

This is not a sales pitch. I just terminated my relationship with My Power Mall. Not so much because I did not like it. It did not cost me anything except that by promoting it, it took clicks away from my other Internet products. For instance, I signed up for Respondoo. You can place URLs in their search engine, display text ads and banners, and more. You can have multiple ads for each. You are provided statistics about the number of impressions and clicks you get. My Power Mall received many clicks, but only served to syphon clicks from my other sites.

Will let you know if I feel good about a product relationship and about any new product I sign up for that looks promising. Along the way I hope to gain experience in promotional techniques and how to build lead lists. Not necessarily in that order.

Joe
